The RSTIT complex is divided into six sectors.

• Administrative Block.
• Academic Block.
• Studio Block.
• Ancillary Block.
• Hostel Block.
• Staff Colony.

Administrative Block :
The Administrative block is a four storied building with 49 rooms accommodating the offices of Director, Faculty members and Administrative wing.


Academic Block :
The Academic Block is a two storied building with six lecture halls. There are 3 large sized Lecture halls with seating capacity of 48 each and carpet area of 110 sq mts.

There are 3 medium sized Lecture halls with seating capacity of 24 each and carpet area of 54 sq mts.

In the Academic Block there are a total of 7 laboratories provided with various training kits and measuring instruments aimed at imparting practical training in basic electronics, Radio and TV broadcasting fields.

The computer laboratory of the Institute is well equipped with 14 terminals and a server connected through LAN.

One of the laboratories is equipped with Non-linear editing and 3D Graphics setup.

The Books library of the Institute provides the trainees with all the reference material they need and also subscribe to various technical journals.

Studio Block :
Coming to Studio block, it has two wings. On the left side is the All India Radio and on the right side is the TV studio setup.

All India Radio has a Multipurpose studio with Announcer booth, Transmission studio, S- Band RN down link Terminal, Control room, Dubbing room, Stereo Listening room & 1KW Medium Wave Transmitter.

The TV Studio setup has a TV studio with 3 Ikagami CCD Cameras, Camera Control room, Production Control Room with Grass Valley vision mixing switcher, Audio Console, VCR Room and 100 Watts VHF low power TV transmitter.

Ancillary Structures :
The institute has mains power supply sub-station with 750 KVA HT Transformer and the associated HT & LT switch gear.
The emergency power supply is provided by a 40 KVA capacity diesel generator.
The Studio Block and Academic block are provided with central air-conditioning facility.
The other ancillary structures include Canteen, Workshop, Service Room and Garrages..

Hostel Block :
The Institute has a 3 storied spacious Hostel to accommodate trainees and faculty members during training period. The hostel has 124 single bedded rooms, 2 double bedded rooms and one AC suite along with Kitchen & Dining facilities. The hostel is provided with recreation room with TV & in-door and out-doors recreational facilities.

Staff Colony :
The Regional Staff Training Institute, Bhubaneswar has 38 Staff Quarters to provide accommodation for its faculty and staff members along with community hall and children's park.
